Clothes need good care. We should know from which material our clothes are made
and how to take care of them. Some important measures are:

1. To remove dirt, stains and sweat, we should wash the clothes properly with
soap or detergent. Clean clothes are hygienic and help us stay healthy.

2. Clothes should be properly dried after washing.
3. We should iron the clothes after drying as they might have got wrinkled.

4. We should not soak silk and woollen clothes in hot water. Silk and woollen
clothes should be washed gently. These clothes can be dry-cleaned or dried
under mild sunlight.

5. Clothes should be stored properly when not in use. The silk and woollen
clothes may be attacked by insects like moths and silverfish if not stored
properly.

6. We should use neem leaves and naphthalene balls to keep silk and woollen
clothes safe from insects.

7. Stored clothes should be taken out and dried under the sun for a while to

remove any smell in them.
