So, we should eat vegetables, fruits,
eggs, fish, milk and cereals. Our body
needs vitamins and minerals in a very
small quantity.
Roughage And Water Fruits and Vegetables
Roughage means fibre. Raw fruits and vegetables; cereals have fibre in them.
Roughage does not provide any nutrient but it helps in the proper functioning of
the digestive system. It enhances the movement of food through the intestine and
easy removal of waste. Water is a very important part of life. It maintains our body
temperature and helps in digestion. We lose water by means of urine, sweat and
breath, so, we should drink plenty of water every day.
