Glossary

               •  Solar system             :  A system in which the sun and the other eight planets revolve
                                              around the sun.

               •  Sun                      :  It is a giant star and a huge ball of burning gases that provides
                                              energy for life on the earth.
               •  Moon                     :   It is the only natural satellite of the earth.
               •  Phases of the moon  :  These are the apparent changing shapes of the moon during a
                                              month.
               •  New moon                 :  A phase when we cannot see the moon at all (from earth).
               •  Tides                    :   Periodic rise and fall of the ocean waters due to gravitation pull
                                              of the moon.
               •  Spring tides             :  The higher tides during full moon and new moon.
