B alanced Diet

          •  A diet containing all the five vital nutrients in proper and sufficient amount is called
              a balanced diet.


            (The five nutrients are – carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins and minerals. Water
              and roughage do not contain any nutrient but are important part of our meals).

        The diet you should have daily include must be from all food

        groups – carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals.
        These  nutrients  are  needed  for  the  growth  and  development,
        repair of body tissues and to keep the body healthy and strong.

        It should also provide the necessary energy required by the body
