We can manage our daily work effectively, if we plan time according to the activities
to be performed. A day consists of 24 equal durations and each duration is called an
hour. Minutes and seconds are used for measuring smaller durations, and weeks,
months and years are used to measure longer durations. Second is the standard unit
of measurement of time.
Conversion between different units of measurement of time is as follows.
60 seconds = 1 minute
60 minutes = 1 hour
24 hours = 1day
7 days = 1 week
12 months = 1 year
Watches, wall clocks and stop watches are commonly used devices for the measurement
of time.
Factual Study
In a year, there are 365.25 days. Since it is not
easy to denote 0.25 days every year, therefore, it
has been decided all over the world to add one day
to the month of February every fourth year. This
year is called as leap year. Thus, every leap year
has 366 days while a normal year has 365 days.

Measurement of Temperature
Temperature is defined as the degree of hotness or coldness of an object. Degree
Celsius (˚C) and Degree Fahrenheit (˚F) are units by which temperature is commonly
represented. Kelvin (K) is the standard unit of measurement.
You can convert temperature from one unit to another with the help of following relationship.
C/5 = F-32/9
F = 9C/5 +32
Clinical Thermometer Let’s Pronounce Together

temperature. In hospitals, clinical thermometer measurement cubit
is used for the measurement of body temperature. In handspan duration
